The beautiful village of Anatoli is located at approximately 31km from Agios Nikolaos (taking the road from Kalo Horio-Prina) and 14 km from Ierapetra. It is the seat of the municipality of the same name with 1,288 inhabitants, which consists of the villages: Kalogeri, Nea Anatoli, Stomio and Amoudares. Anatoli is the most known village of the municipality. The coastal part of the municipality is a centre of green houses with horticultural production. It is also full of pine- and almond trees which blossom in March and completely transform the village at time. Its attitude is about 640m and the scenic drive through the mountains to reach the village is something quite remarkable. The Venetian Tower, of which much has been preserved throughout time, can also be admired in Anatoli. |
